The Richfield Foundation (see sidebar) formed the Richfield Public Schools Dedicated Fund (RPS Fund) in 1997 to support programs, services and activities within the Richfield Public Schools. In 2008, the RPS Fund officially changed its name to the Richfield Public Schools Foundation (RPS Foundation). Since the start, over $75,000 in mini-grants has been awarded to support a variety of educational enrichment activities within the schools.
The RPS Foundation Committee is an alumni and community committee that acquires and distributes funds for programs, services, and activities that enrich the educational experience of our students and expand the knowledge and skills of teachers, parents and others that help students learn. Do you represent a Richfield public school program or organization that has funding needs? The RPS Foundation committee reviews all such applications and makes funding decisions based on the committee's funding priorities, which you may review within the grant application form. Questions regarding the grant application process should be directed to Nicolette Abel at nicolette.abel@richfield.k12.mn.us.
The RPS Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
